Theobald Richard O'Flaherty (1818-1894) was born at Castletown, Queen's County, on 7 October 1818. He matriculated at St John's College, Cambridge, in 1837 (B.A., 1843), and was ordained deacon in 1843, and priest in 1844. He was curate of Odiham, Hampshire, 1843-1846, and of Tadley, 1846-1848, and Vicar of Capel, Surrey, 1848-1894. He succeeded to the estate of Lemonfield, Oughterard, in 1873.
